Delicious food and charming atmosphere
We loved our short stay, with incredible meals including the steak and ale pie for lunch, which was a standout. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the lovely surroundings. The only downside was that the coffee could use a bit more strength. I can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay with amazing meals. the breakfast was top-notch and our dinner was quite memorable. I loved relaxing in the quiet garden space watching the birds, and the cozy corner by the fire was a perfect spot to unwind. The only hiccup was a bit of confusion with room access, but it didn’t ruin our experience. 😊

Wonderful stay with gluten-free options!
Super welcoming staff from the get-go! My husband had so many gluten-free choices, which totally made his day. Our room was really comfy, and we loved the 4-poster bed. Plus, the village around is a dream to explore. Only thing was a bit of noise from nearby rooms at times.

The Royal in Winsford served up a proper feast with generous portions that left my belly smiling! The staff were ever so friendly, making me feel right at home, like I was part of the gang. Just a stone's throw from the stunning Exmoor, it's a gem for food lovers!
Though I faced a bit of a wait for breakfast and had me toast to make while the eggs chilled, it didn’t ruin the vibe too much. Just wish the check-in could’ve been a smoother ride after a wet motorbike journey.
